The School Day

The school day runs from 9am - 3:20pm , pupils attend school for 31 hours 40mins per week. This time does not include pupils travel time via transport that equates to a significant amount of additional time surpassing the recommended 32.5 hours per week.

    Pupils arrive on school transport and are escorted to class
  • 09:10 – 09:25
    Registration
  • 09:25 – 10:00
    First teaching session 
  • 10:00 – 10:30
    PSED,  Self-help, movement breaks/sensory circuits, communication and snack
  • 10:30 – 12:00
    Second teaching lesson
  • 12:00 – 13:15
    Lunchtime / supported play
  • 13:15 – 13:30
    Registration and reading 
  • 13:30 – 15:00
    Third teaching session , including afternoon snack/movement breaks/sensory circuits 
  • 15:00 – 15:20
    PSED, transition for transport departure 

Whole school celebration Star of the Week assembly takes place every Friday. Swimming sessions occur every Thursday on a rotation basis. We actively plan Religious Immersion days throughout the academic year.
