The Board of Trustees of Forward Education Trust is proposing that The Bridge School will have an extra 5 days of staff training per year from September 2025 onwards, making our total staff training day capacity 10 days in each school year.
We believe that the current allowance of 5 whole staff training days is insufficient to meet our needs and strongly believe that this additional investment of time and capacity for our staff will make the remaining 185 school days much more productive, fulfilling and meaningful for our children.
The additional 5 days will be taken as 10 half days, in the afternoon, and school will be shut to pupils on those afternoons.

We would welcome your views on this proposal. You can respond in one of four ways:

In all cases, the closing date for responses is Tuesday 8th July 2025 at 5pm. Any responses received after this will not be considered.
Consultation Events

The Board of Trustees will carefully consider the feedback from the consultation before any final decision is made. We will confirm our final plan to parents by the end of the summer term, no later than Thursday 17th July.
