This young girl wanted to raise awareness for people with epilepsy and help them see that they are not alone. \n\n\n \nCassidy picked purple to represent the day because lavender is internationally recognised as the flower for epilepsy. \n\n\n \nOver the years\, Purple Day grew to become the successful epilepsy awareness day we know it as today\, and one of the biggest fundraising events in the epilepsy calendar.
